Why Choose Us

Why Choose Injury Law Specialists?

Most firms’ “why choose us” pages are a list of claims you have no way of checking. This one is written differently: it sets out how we work, what you can expect from us, and the things we deliberately do not say about ourselves.

In the end, the useful test is not a comparison table. It is whether the first conversation tells you clearly whether you have a claim, how it would be funded and what happens next.

What Can You Expect From Us?

A focus on serious and complex injury, solicitors who are named and independently verifiable, advice given in plain English including where the news is not good, and funding terms set out in writing before you commit to anything. What you will not get is a success rate, a predicted settlement figure or a testimonial telling you that a similar result is likely in your case.

That last point is worth dwelling on, because it is the opposite of how most personal injury marketing works. A firm can tell you it wins 98% of its cases, that a client received a six-figure sum, or that it has been rated five stars — and none of it tells you anything reliable about your own claim. A success rate depends on which cases a firm takes. A case result reflects one set of facts. A review reflects one person’s expectations. None of them survive contact with the question you actually have, which is whether you have a claim and what it is worth.

So this page describes what we do and how, points you at the things you can check for yourself, and is explicit about what we are not claiming.

How We Work

Eight things that are true of the way this firm operates, each with a link to the page that sets it out in more detail.

A focus on serious and complex injury

A serious injury affects far more than a person's health. It can change employment, mobility, independence and family finances for years. We have a particular interest in claims involving significant injury — where rehabilitation, future treatment, care, equipment and long-term financial loss all need to be considered properly rather than settled quickly.

Serious injury claims

Named solicitors you can verify

The solicitors who act for our clients are named on this site, with their individual SRA numbers and direct links to the Solicitors Regulation Authority register and the Law Society's Find a Solicitor. You do not have to take our word for who we are or how we are regulated — you can check it yourself.

Meet the team

Clear advice in plain English

Claims involve concepts most people meet for the first time — liability, causation, general and special damages, contributory negligence, Conditional Fee Agreements. We explain them in ordinary language, and we tell you the position rather than the version that sounds best, including where a claim is weaker than you might hope.

How claims work

Funding explained before you commit

The funding arrangement, what it commits you to, what a success fee would be and what happens if the claim does not succeed are set out in writing before you decide whether to proceed. We do not tell clients they will keep every penny of their compensation, because that is not true of every arrangement.

Our fees

Kept informed throughout

Claims take time, and the quiet gaps between stages are when clients most often feel abandoned. We aim to keep you informed at each significant stage and to tell you who is handling your claim and how to reach them, rather than leaving you to chase.

How claims work

Clients across England and Wales

We act for claimants throughout England and Wales. Cases are handled by telephone, email, WhatsApp and video call, which is how most clients prefer it, and where a face-to-face meeting is genuinely needed a client can be seen at a convenient location. Your location does not limit whether we can help.

Areas we cover

Regulated, and answerable

Legal services are provided by MB Solicitors, a trading name of MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA ID 8000764. If something goes wrong, there is a formal complaints route and, beyond it, the Legal Ombudsman — and the client care partner is named on our team page.

Complaints procedure

A free initial assessment

An initial assessment costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We consider what happened, who may have been responsible, whether evidence is likely to be available and how a claim might be funded, and then explain the next steps. Contacting us does not create a solicitor-client relationship.

Free assessment

A note on experience

We refer elsewhere on this site to 30+ years’ collective legal experience. That is a statement about the combined experience of the solicitors who act for our clients, not a claim about awards, panel membership or specialist accreditation, none of which we assert. The individual solicitors’ regulatory records are on the team page if you would like to look them up.

What We Do Not Claim

A “why choose us” page is where a law firm is most tempted to overstate. These are the claims we do not make, stated openly rather than simply left out — because a claim you cannot check is worth less than no claim at all.

  • We do not publish success rates, because a rate can be presented in ways that mislead and does not tell you anything about your own claim.
  • We do not publish case results or compensation totals, and we do not use client outcomes to suggest that a similar result is likely for you.
  • We do not use testimonials or review scores on this page. If testimonials are ever added, they will be genuine, with permission, and will not imply that all clients achieve the same outcome.
  • We do not claim accreditations, panel memberships or awards that we do not hold, and we do not describe ourselves as specialists in a sense the regulator would not recognise.
  • We do not tell you that you will keep 100% of your compensation, or that a No Win No Fee agreement means there is never any financial risk in any circumstances.
  • We do not predict what your claim is worth. It cannot be done without medical evidence, and we would rather say so than give you a figure we cannot stand behind.

If you have seen any of these claims elsewhere and are wondering why — a guaranteed settlement figure, a success rate, a promise that you keep all of your compensation — the honest answer is usually that the claim is either unverifiable or does not survive the detail.

How to Judge Any Personal Injury Firm

Rather than compare us to a competitor, here is what is worth asking any firm — including this one — before you instruct them. The answers tell you far more than a marketing page.

  • Who will actually handle my claim, and can I check their regulatory record?
  • What is the funding arrangement, and what exactly would I owe if the claim fails?
  • What would a success fee be, and is there a cap on it?
  • How will disbursements — medical reports, expert fees, court fees — be carried?
  • Who pays the other side's costs if the claim does not succeed?
  • How and how often will you keep me updated?
  • What happens if liability is denied, and what then?
  • What is the position if I want to end the agreement early?

A firm that answers all eight clearly, in writing, before asking you to sign anything, is probably one worth dealing with. That is the standard we are trying to meet — and if you ask us any of the above and do not get a straight answer, you should say so.

Why Choose Us: Common Questions

What makes Injury Law Specialists different from other personal injury firms?

+

Two things we can be specific about. The first is a genuine focus on serious and complex injury, where the work is in rehabilitation, future care, long-term financial loss and getting the medical evidence right. The second is transparency about who we are: the solicitors acting for our clients are named, with their SRA numbers and direct register links, so you can verify the people and the firm before you decide to instruct anyone. Beyond that, we would rather that you judged us on how the first conversation goes than on a comparison table we wrote ourselves.

Do you only take on serious injury cases?

+

No. We can consider personal injury claims ranging from relatively straightforward cases to serious and complex injury claims. We do not automatically reject smaller injuries, and it is worth making an enquiry even where you suspect a claim may be modest. That said, we do have a particular interest in cases involving significant injuries, surgery, rehabilitation, permanent symptoms or substantial financial losses, and it is fair to say that is where our attention is concentrated.

Can I check that the firm and its solicitors are regulated?

+

Yes, and we would encourage it. Legal services are provided by MB Solicitors, a trading name of MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA ID 8000764. The individual solicitors acting for our clients are listed on our team page with their own SRA numbers and direct links to the SRA register and the Law Society's Find a Solicitor, so you can look any of them up independently rather than following our link.

Will I deal with the same person throughout my claim?

+

You will be told who is handling your claim and how to reach them, and you deal with that person rather than being passed between departments. Where a partner is involved in your case, you will know which one. On a larger claim, experts and counsel may also become involved at particular stages, and where that happens we explain who they are and why they are needed.

Do you provide testimonials or reviews from previous clients?

+

Not on this page. Testimonials about legal outcomes raise a specific problem, which is that a client's result reflects the facts of their case and cannot tell you anything reliable about yours — an outcome that sounds encouraging may simply reflect an injury more serious than your own. If we ever publish client feedback it will be genuine, published with permission, and worded so that it does not imply that all clients achieve a similar outcome.

What happens if I am unhappy with the service?

+

The firm has a formal complaints procedure. You can raise a concern with the person handling your claim and, if it is not resolved, with the client care partner, who is named on our team page. If it still cannot be resolved within the firm, you can take the matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Our Complaints Procedure sets out how each stage works and the timescales involved.

Does it matter where I live?

+

No. We act for claimants throughout England and Wales, and cases are handled by telephone, email, WhatsApp and video call, which is how most clients prefer to deal with a solicitor. Where a face-to-face meeting is genuinely needed, we can discuss the most convenient arrangement. Your location does not affect whether a claim can be taken on, and it has no bearing on how the claim is assessed.

How much does the first conversation cost?

+

Nothing. An initial assessment is free and there is no obligation to proceed. We will consider what happened, who may have been responsible and how a claim might be funded, and explain the possible next steps. Contacting us does not create a solicitor-client relationship and does not commit you to anything — and it does not stop or extend any limitation period, so advice on deadlines should be taken promptly.

Who Provides the Legal Services?

Injury Law Specialists is a marketing and advertising platform and is not a law firm or a provider of regulated legal services. All personal injury legal advice, casework and representation arranged through Injury Law Specialists are provided by MB Solicitors, a trading name of MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA ID 8000764.

You can check that for yourself. The team page links to each solicitor’s entry on the SRA register, and the Regulatory Information page sets out the firm’s details and the position on professional protection. The Complaints Procedure explains what to do if something goes wrong.

The Best Test Is the First Conversation

You do not need to understand the law before contacting us. Tell us what happened and a member of the team will explain whether you may have grounds to claim, what evidence would be needed and how the process works. The assessment is free, and there is no obligation to proceed.
