Injury Law Specialists

Legal Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer carefully before relying on any information published on this website. It sets out important limitations on that information and on the basis on which this website is provided.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

In short

The information on this website is general information about personal injury claims in England and Wales. It is not legal advice, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and it does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything you read here without obtaining advice on your own specific circumstances.

1. No legal advice is given on this website

The content of this website is provided for general information purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice within the meaning of the Solicitors Act 1974 or otherwise, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor who has considered the facts of your particular case.

Injury Law Specialists is a marketing and advertising platform and is not a law firm or a provider of regulated legal services. It does not itself provide legal advice or carry out reserved legal activities. Legal services are provided by MB Solicitors, a trading name of MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under SRA ID 8000764.

Full regulatory details, including how to verify the firm on the official registers, are set out on our Regulatory Information page.

2. No solicitor-client relationship is created

Reading this website, downloading material from it, or submitting an enquiry through a form on it does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Injury Law Specialists or between you and MB Legal Solicitors Ltd.

A solicitor-client relationship is created only when a firm has confirmed in writing that it will act for you and the terms of that engagement have been agreed. Until that happens, no duty of care is owed to you in respect of the information on this website, and no confidentiality or legal professional privilege attaches to information you have sent us.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that a claim can be accepted, and it does not prevent time limits from running. Any solicitor-client relationship arising from an enquiry made through this website will be directly between you and MB Legal Solicitors Ltd.

3. Time limits are not suspended

Time limits continue to run whether or not you have contacted us. In many personal injury claims in England and Wales the limitation period is three years, but the position varies and different rules can apply — including for children, people lacking relevant mental capacity, fatal accident claims, applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority and accidents occurring outside England and Wales.

Submitting an enquiry, requesting an assessment or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not stop or extend any limitation period or other deadline. If you are in any doubt about a deadline, you should seek legal advice promptly and independently of this website. Please see our guide to personal injury claim time limits.

4. Not medical, financial or other professional advice

Nothing on this website is medical advice. Descriptions of injuries, conditions, treatment, rehabilitation or prognosis are provided to explain how such matters may be relevant to a legal claim. They are not a diagnosis and must not be relied upon in place of advice from a qualified medical professional. If you have a medical concern, seek advice from your GP, NHS 111 or emergency services as appropriate.

Nothing on this website is financial, tax, benefits or insurance advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to enter into, or refrain from, any financial arrangement. Any reference to compensation, settlement values or recoverable losses is general explanation only, not a valuation of your claim.

5. No guarantee of outcome, acceptance or compensation

Every claim depends on its own facts, evidence and medical opinion. Nothing on this website is a promise, warranty or guarantee:

  • that you have a valid claim, or that a claim will be accepted;
  • that a claim will succeed, or the likelihood of success;
  • that any particular amount of compensation will be recovered;
  • that a claim will be resolved within any particular time;
  • that No Win, No Fee funding will be available in your case.

Any reference to judicial guidelines, tariff figures, reported cases or typical awards is provided for general context. It is not a prediction of what your claim may be worth, and any figure will depend on the specific evidence in your case.

6. Accuracy, currency and completeness

We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, and legal content is reviewed periodically. The law and procedure of England and Wales change, however, and information that was correct when written may later become out of date. We give no warranty, express or implied, that any content is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose.

Where pages show a review or update date, that date indicates when the content was last considered, not that it reflects the law as at the date you read it. Any reliance you place on the information on this website is strictly at your own risk.

7. Third-party content and external links

This website may refer to, summarise or link to legislation, guidance and material published by third parties, including legislation.gov.uk, GOV.UK, the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the NHS.

Such material is owned by those third parties and is referenced for convenience only. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or security. A link does not imply endorsement of any kind. Any reliance on third-party material is subject to that party's own terms and disclaimers.

Where this website summarises legislation, guidance or schemes such as the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme or the Official Injury Claim process, that summary is general and simplified. The applicable rules, tariffs and thresholds may change and are governed by the relevant official documentation rather than by anything on this website.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Injury Law Specialists and MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, together with their directors, officers, employees and contributors, exclude all liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind arising out of or in connection with:

  • your use of, or inability to use, this website;
  • any reliance placed on the content of this website;
  • any inaccuracy, omission or out-of-date information on this website;
  • any act or omission taken, or not taken, because of something you read here;
  • the content, availability or security of any linked third-party website.

This exclusion applies to all forms of loss, whether direct, indirect or consequential, and whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. In particular, nothing here excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that the law does not permit to be excluded. Nor does anything here affect the statutory rights of a client of an SRA-regulated firm in respect of legal services actually provided to that client, or limit the regulatory protections that apply to such services.

If you have instructed MB Legal Solicitors Ltd, the terms of your engagement — including any limitation of liability agreed in writing — govern the legal services provided to you, not this website disclaimer.

9. No waiver and no admission

Nothing on this website is an admission of liability by any person or organisation, and nothing should be read as an assertion about how any particular accident, injury or dispute occurred or who was responsible. Any description of accident types, causes or circumstances is illustrative and general.

No failure or delay by us in exercising any right under this disclaimer operates as a waiver of that right, and no single or partial exercise of a right prevents any further exercise of it.

10. Enquiries, information you send us and confidentiality

Please do not send confidential, privileged or time-critical information through the enquiry forms on this website. Until a solicitor-client relationship is established in writing, information you submit is not protected by legal professional privilege.

We nevertheless treat information submitted through this website carefully and in accordance with data protection law. Because enquiries may include health information, we minimise what we collect and handle it as sensitive personal data. How we collect, use, store and share personal information, your rights, and how to contact us about them are explained in our Privacy Notice.

11. Intellectual property

The content, design, text and graphics on this website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, adapt, republish, distribute or use any part of this website without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

This disclaimer, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or with your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that nothing in this paragraph affects any right you may have to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protection rules apply.

Where this website refers to time limits, procedures or schemes, those references relate primarily to the law of England and Wales. The position in Scotland, Northern Ireland and outside the United Kingdom may differ.

13. Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services or how this website operates. The version published on this page at the time you use the website is the version that applies. Please check back periodically and note the "last updated" date shown above.
